An implant is used to replace the root of a missing tooth. This is an artificial root on which a crown is attached. This crown can be made of porcelain, resin or gold. The implant itself is largely made from titanium because of its excellent mechanical, as well as organic properties.

The use of zirconia is becoming increasingly prominent with its advantages and disadvantages. In our medical practice, we use zirconia implants on request and we work exclusively with Strautmann.

In many cases, surgical techniques require no incisions or suture, greatly reducing the healing time. In 95% of cases the implants were easily and completely tolerated by patients. Even 10 years later according to statistics.

Proper oral hygiene and regular monitoring by the dentist and dental hygienist are recommended to achieve this result.
